- This Programme is DIT's initiative, and getting implemented through the nodal centre at C-DAC (T). The strategy for implementation is as given below.

- The NaMPET activities are guided by a National Steering Committee comprising of
• Senior officials from Government.
• Experts from Academic institutes.
• Experts from DRDO/BARC/ISRO/CAT/BEL/IPR.
• Officials from railways/steel/mining industries.
• CII representative.
• Official from BHEL / L&T etc.

- One important aim of the mission is to attract contract R&D work from abroad including multi-national companies operating in India so as to create impact, as we are witnessing
in the field of Information Technology.

- From potential Indian users like the Railways, the Defense, Ministry of Power, etc. there could be a good amount of development work even from the initial stage itself. DIT is already interacting with such users and the response is quite encouraging.

- Short-term plan for developing definite technologies/products and
Transfer of Technology to industries.

- Clear-cut procedure regarding IPR issues will be evolved in consultation with the IPR wing of DIT.
|
- Continuous endeavor will be to increase the number of industries
into the Centre's fold through membership.
