The Nodal Centre is able to enlarge its activities and thereby is able to contribute to the causes of development of PE technology more significantly because of a ready access to research personnel at academic institutes on one hand and engineering support from industry on the other in a very structured and formal way. This centre will provide a unique environment for academic institutions and industry to team together and focus on next-generation advances in power electronics technology.

The Academic Institutes, in addition to their own existing research/consultancy work, are expected to benefit by way of having an added avenue in a structured manner to contribute to application oriented research activities. Also, in this way they will have a formal way of sharing technical information of other institutes and industries and a chance to get their conceptual designs translated into engineering products/systems without really bothering to interact directly with the industry themselves. The nodal centre is actually responsible for this part of the work.

• Since the participating agencies in this programme are geographically separated, the success of the programme largely depends on the close co-ordination, interaction and knowledge sharing between the participating agencies. In order to facilitate these requirements, a website has launched for this programme.
• Details of the projects under implementation, patents and copyrights generated, technology transfer packages, technical papers, proceedings etc. will be made available
  through this website.
• Membership will be offered to Industries, Academic Institutions, Professionals and
  Post-graduate students.
• A full-fledged digital library with books, journals and publications on PE technology will form an integral part of this website.
• Tutorials prepared by the eminent academics on specific advanced subjects will be available through this website.
• Commercial aspects of the technology, like information on tenders, market studies etc. will also be displayed in the website.
• This website will provide the visibility of this programme to the external world.
