As a complimentary activity to the existing academic courses conducted by various institutions, this Centre shall support specific and need based M.Tech / Ph.D programmes at identified institutes. Essentially, the candidates for such programmes will be from industries.

It is a fact that sufficient laboratory infrastructure is not available, even in many of the leading institutes and engineering colleges in the country. Also sufficient infrastructure is to be provided in the Nodal Centre, so that the participating members, especially the industries can utilize the facilities for developing prototypes. Provision has been made in the NaMPET Programme to support the infrastructure development at C-DAC (T) and the academic institutes.

• Refresher courses/ workshops/ seminars etc. will be conducted for technologists in this area as well as potential users.
• Generate technical reports on technology trends, application stories and market information.
